Happy 4th of July, everybody! I’ve posted a new comic over at G3, and the forum seems to be completed for now. I’ve recently been trying to acquire ngUP.net, so I’ll see how that turns out. Some say that domain is cursed, probably due to ngUP going up, going down, going up, and going down again, where it is today. I’m still looking for an “official” 9-5 kind of job, with little success. I’ve heard that the economy is in such a bad state right now that many employers are actually laying off/firing workers to cut their losses. Right now there are rednecks blasting away their black market fireworks, and it gets to be pretty annoying, especially when 10 people launch them all at once. Yesterday I had work, and I got a $50 tip, so that’s pretty good. Tomorrow I have work also, but it’s going to be a bit more than yesterday. I’m hoping to get some artwork done on Sunday…

Wordpress 2.5 seems to be working all right, and I’m actually getting used to it. I especially like the new full-screen mode, which is really handy when writing those really long articles on DZI-Tech. It still needs a little work here and there, but I’m sure the next release will rectify those bugs.

I have work today. Arrgh! special 4th of July comic will be up tomorrow (4th of July). I can already hear the rednecks on my block blasting away their illegally purchased fireworks. I also got back my results for the SAT II World History exam I took a month ago. Turns out I got a 730 out of 800. Not bad. Trying to get some web work, because real-world jobs are extremely hard to get, and some companies are actually laying off employees due to the terrible state our economy’s in.

In other, lighter news, I’m trying to get the hang of Flash animation. With my graphics tablet it’s not so hard, but it gets to be quite tedious. Especially when there are 40 layers. Going frame by frame, redrawing each frame, at 18fps, I got about 3 seconds of animation in about 3 hours of work. And that’s with simple stick figures.
